Some guests have reported minor issues, such as the vegetarian cannelloni lacking sufficient pasta. A few patrons noted that while the service is often friendly, it can be slow during peak times, particularly on busy Sundays. Limited shaded areas in the garden can also pose a concern on hotter days, potentially detracting from the outdoor experience. While reviews of the food itself are overwhelmingly positive, those who frequented for drinks only felt they could not provide a complete assessment, reflecting the focus on dining as the venue's strong point.
Overall, these are relatively small issues compared to the general quality and satisfaction reported by regular visitors.
Excellent food! Between us we had the ribs, chicken goujons and Spanish & ricotta cannelloni. Only niggle was feeling the cannelloni didn't have much pasta. We ordered our desserts to go, which were also delicious 😋
Food is always freshly cooked and beautiful dosent matter if you go as a meal for 2 or 20 plus people food and service is always the same excellent standered 100% recommended and very reasonable prices to
Great pub with lovely food, t bone steak was done perfectly and the cheesecake dessert was delicious
Absolutely lovely food at reasonable prices. Great waiting on staff pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Really great pub. Visiting on bikes and had plenty of nice tables in the garden, although not much shade. Most of the service was very friendly. Beer was good too, and reasonable prices. Didn't try the good so can't rate that, but as a bar can't fault it.
This is a great little pub. Very reasonable pricing, Guinness was excellent. I had the burger and chips, it was fresh, well presented, perfectly cooked and enormous. The team behind the bar were friendly and efficient so well done team, you were all great 😋😋. My only very small suggestion is that it would be great to be able to drink some local Welsh beers, I know there's some really great brewers down here 🍺🍻.
Still in keeping with the industrial past, with lots of photographs of past and present activities. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the cakes were very nice. Unfortunately, the do not serve food on Monday, so we were unable to sample the menu. We did have drinks and cakes after our walk.
